The 13 strengths of aluminum decks
1. SOLIDITY
Two to three times stronger than traditional materials used for building decks – aluminum structures are stiffer and stronger than wooden ones. The wooden or aluminum joists can be installed at least 70 cm apart, without the risk of sagging, whatever the weight of the elements you have on your terrace.
2. LIGHTNESS
Easy to handle, aluminum weighs 1/4 to 1/3 the weight of wood. Example a 5.80 meter aluminum blade weighs 8 kg, a wooden blade 21 kg and a composite blade of the same size 25 kg.
3. ECOLOGICAL
Aluminum is not toxic and moreover it is hypoallergenic. It does not emit VOCs (volatile organic compounds) even during its initial installation. In addition, aluminum can be recycled perfectly. Virtually indestructible, 100% of the aluminum used in patio construction can be reused later.
4. INSECT RESISTANCE
Termites, carpenter ants, wasps and other pests will not be tempted by your aluminum patio.
5. RESISTANCE TO WEATHER
Aluminum is not porous and therefore does not undergo any deterioration due to rain or snow. Waterproof and moisture resistant, it won’t warp, shrink, twist, crack or chop like wood can. Likewise, it does not suffer damage from the sun or the cold as plastic or derivative materials can. Aluminum does not rust and is an ideal material for seaside decks.
6. WATERPROOFING
Water does not seep between the planks, allowing you to use the space under the deck.
7. FIRE RESISTANCE
When exposed to sparks or flames (for example if you are barbecuing on your patio), aluminum will not burn or melt.

9. NO MAINTENANCE
The maintenance of an aluminum terrace comes down to a simple spray of water from time to time. Quickly cleaned, stains caused by food or liquids easily disappear.
